Serbia has over 5.000 certified judicial experts across 50+ specialisations. Lawyers, insurers, and courts need to find and verify these professionals regularly.
When the official database of court experts in Serbia went offline, it was replaced by a downloadable spreadsheet with no search, no filtering, and no mobile access. For a dataset this critical, that was not good enough.
For legal professionals, this created an immediate operational problem: cases require certified experts, and there was no longer a reliable way to find them.
There was also no announcement of a timeline for the official database to return.
We saw a clear product opportunity, decided to clean and structure the publicly available data, and build a purpose-designed platform around it.
The raw data about judicial experts existed as a single officially published spreadsheet. The document had inconsistent formatting, duplicate entries, and incomplete records across thousands of rows.
We cleaned and structured the full dataset, then built a custom web platform designed specifically around how people actually search for judicial experts in Serbia.
The platform allows users to search by category, specialisation and location making the search results organised around combined category and location pages.
This means that a search for "forensic accountants in Belgrade" or "construction experts in Novi Sad" returns a dedicated, structured page rather than a generic list. Such architecture serves the user and drives organic search performance simultaneously.
We also made two important product decisions early that shaped how the platform works.
First, verified experts appear at the top of search results. Experts can confirm and correct their own data through a verification process. This improves data accuracy over time and gives users a clear signal of which listings are current and reliable.
Second, contact details are not displayed publicly. Users provide an email address to access an expert's phone number. This protects expert privacy while ensuring that every contact request comes from someone with a genuine professional need.
SudskiVestaci.rs launched in November 2025, less than one month after the initial idea.
It has since become the go-to resource for finding certified judicial experts in Serbia.

This project was not commissioned. No one paid us to build it. We identified a real problem, moved quickly, and built a product that filled the gap.

The Serbian Ministry of Justice remains the sole authority responsible for certifying judicial experts, but currently has no functional digital infrastructure to support that role.
Next step:
Formal integration proposal: a concrete technical pathway through which the Ministry could reference or consume verified data from the platform.
